Come and Join our friendly , non competitive cycling club which organises rides on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Our rides are mainly in Kent but we do stray into Sussex and Surrey.
We have around 140 members, most (but not all) are retired and live in the local area. Our annual subscription is very low, only £10 and there is no joining fee.
We meet anywhere we can get a pre ride tea or coffee e.g. Polhill Garden Centre, Shoreham Golf Club, Lullingstone Visitors Centre and Coolings Garden Centres.
All abilities are catered for with 5 different groups riding out each Wednesday. The rides are 30 - 40 miles in length and include a lunch stop at a pub or café. Each ride has a leader who ensures that the group keeps together and that no one is left behind.
We welcome new members. To find out more, contact either The Chair, Steve Birkin (01959523071/birkins78@gmail.com) or The Club Captain, Barry Barlow (01689 834878/barry.barlow@bcs.org). Alternatively, look at our website: www.meridiancyclingclub.co.uk.
If you would like to try us without committing to join the club, you are welcome to come on any of our rides as a taster.
