    We are #YourLocalMind
This week is Local Mind Week, so we’d like to tell you about what it means to be Your Local Mind here in West Kent.
We are an independent charity, and part of a wider Mind family which includes over 100 local Minds across England, Wales and the Channel Islands. We share knowledge and ideas, and nationally Mind supports our work. Together we are fighting for better mental health.
Being local, means that we understand our community, and we provide services that local people need. The positive mental wellbeing of people and communities living and working in West Kent is at the heart of all we do.
We support our community to get well, stay well and thrive.
    • we’re there for people who need therapy or counselling
    • we offer a range of specialist support programmes, providing advice on managing money, hoarding and life skills
    • we have a supported housing scheme providing safe and secure accommodation in the heart of Sevenoaks
    • our wellbeing social activity groups help people stay well by managing their mental and physical health

We are proud to part of the wider Mind family. We are also proud to be West Kent Mind, an independent charity, which means we raise our own funds. So every pound raised by amazing individuals and businesses in our community really does make a difference to local people.

We’re here to make sure anyone with a mental health problem in the Sevenoaks, Tonbridge & Malling and Tunbridge Wells districts has somewhere to turn for advice and support.
If you or someone you know is going through a difficult time, reach out and be heard – we are here to listen and support you.
