    A Halstead woman has taken over Google today.The search engine is marking Anna Atkins's 216th birthday using her photographic images as a Google doodle.The botanist, who was born in Tonbridge in 1799, used cyanotypes or 'sunprints' of plants and algae in botanical studies and paved the way for the use of photography in scientific publishing.She died in Halstead in 1871.Mrs Atkins received an unusually scientific education for a woman of her time, following in the footsteps of her father, John...
