    Salary £20,324 to £21,529

    A generous annual leave allowance of 23 days (plus an additional 5 days depending on having Continuous Local Government Service).

    The Role

    This is an exciting opportunity to work for an award winning council. As Facilities Management Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery of the wide range of facilities management services, including looking after office accommodation and working environment, setting up meetings and conference facilities, assisting with post room and delivery duties as well as courier services. You will work closely with other members of the Facilities team to ensure an excellent customer service is provided at all times. The role will require shift pattern working between the hours of 7am to 7pm.

    The Team

    You will be joining a small but friendly and experienced Facilities Management team, which is part of the Customer Resources service area.

    The Successful Applicant

    We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills both on the telephone, email and face to face. A positive “can do attitude” to work is vital to the role as well as is having excellent organisational skills and an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. The ability and willingness to work unsociable hours to cover late evenings will also be required. You will be a quick learner, willing to contribute to the continuing development of the service as well as adapting to the changing needs of the organisation. Experience in a similar role would be preferred but not essential as training will be provided.

    Sevenoaks is only half an hour from central London by train. You will be based at the Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks, Kent. TN13 1HG, however due to the current pandemic and current Government advice at the time of advert the role will require a combination of both remote and office based working. A free staff car park is available on site.
