Domestic Abuse Coordinator

  1. In this role you’ll work in the community to provide specialist programmes to all victims experiencing domestic abuse in their homes as well as working with our Housing team for those facing homelessness.

    You’ll look to embed safeguarding best practice throughout all of your work and the team and your specialist knowledge of Domestic Abuse, Violence against Women & Girls and Safeguarding policy and practice will help to shape the way we work and provide support.

    If you have experience of working with vulnerable people, then you’ll know that communication and negotiation skills are key as is being able to deal with sensitive and confidential material.

    You’ll have experience of working with several agencies to achieve a common goal and knowledge of the MARAC process and national guidance as well as experience of running informative events, training and partnership working to improve outcomes for survivors of domestic abuse.

    Please note that this is a part time (30 hours a week) position on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2023.

    This role will be based at our Council Offices, Argyle Road, Sevenoaks Kent TN13 1HG. We currently operate a hybrid working model for the majority of our roles where your working time will be divided between the office (2-3 days) and home working (2-3 days).
