    Career Grade- Salary Band C to Band D (plus any overtime)

    i.e. £23,706 - £31,077 per annum dependant on experience

    Equivalent to an hourly rate of between £12.28 and £16.10

    A generous annual leave allowance of between 24 and 27 days (plus an additional 5 days dependant on continuous Local Government Service).

    The Role

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Commercial Vehicle Fitter who can join our team and provide support to the council’s fleet of 150 plus vehicles which range from 26 tonne dust carts to garden trimmers.

    As a Commercial Vehicle Fitter you will be expected to diagnose vehicles ensuring they are maintained to VOSA standards. You will be preparing and presenting vehicles for MOT inspections and completing all paperwork to a high standard.

    This role would suit a flexible and enthusiastic team player. To be appointed at Band C you will have some vehicle diagnostic experience, fitters appointed at a higher band must hold a Level 3 City and Guilds or relevant NVQ qualification.

    The Team

    You will be joining a friendly and dedicated team which is made up of the supervisor and three HGV fitters/ MOT testers.

    Based at our Dunbrik Depot at Sundridge you will be expected to work 37 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 3:30pm and Friday 7:30am to 3:00pm.
