    PUPILS got a taste of life in the 1960s at Amherst School this week as part of celebrations to mark its 50th birthday.The Witches Lane site opened for the first time on Tuesday, April 26, 1966 with six classes in what was then called Riverhead Primary School.But on Tuesday, the current crop of children got to step into the shoes of their Sixties counterparts, sampling toys as well as television and radio programmes from the day.The school also put up displays to represent the decades of the last...
