Over 9 days from 9 September, from Land’s End to John O’Groats, Nick and Peter will Ride Across Britain. That’s 969 miles averaging over 100 miles a day and climbing over 40,000ft. It’s a gruelling challenge both physically and mentally. Nick and Peter have joined together to raise money for West Kent Mind and Sense. You can support their epic challenge on their VirginMoneyGiving page.

    Peter says:

“West Kent Mind do a brilliant job of raising awareness in the local community and as fathers to a combined 7 young adults we feel passionate about the work they do in schools with young people reducing the stigma and discrimination around Mental Health, promoting well-being and creating a culture change around mental health for the younger generation.”

    Nick says:

“I’ve been personally involved with Sense over the last 5 years and have always felt a strong connection with the cause and the many people they help. They organise around 25 week long summer holidays as well as a range of housing options. As we have all hopefully enjoyed some time on our own summer holidays with our families, this is the area we are hoping to raise funds for on the Ride Across Britain.”

[IMG]The ‘End to End’ has been an iconic cycling challenge since before the Tour de France was even a glint in Henri Desgrange’s eye. It always has and always will be a true test of stamina and will. The ride stretches from the rugged coastline of Cornwall to the rolling hills and valleys of the North of England right up the barren majesty of the Scottish highlands.

There is no other event in the world that manages to string together such a range of moorlands, hidden green valleys, winding back lanes, stunning coastal roads and historic sites.

Support Nick and Peter in raising money for their chosen charities on their VirginMoneyGiving page. They have set an ambitious target of £10 per mile, that’s £9,690!
