  1. Dartford and Sevenoaks Environmental Health Partnership are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and suitably qualified professional with a minimum of two years’ relevant experience working within a similar role to join its innovative Environmental Protection Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a busy team working across two contrasting and diverse local authority areas which include the Brands Hatch Motor Racing Circuit, Bluewater Shopping Centre, the Ebbsfleet Garden Village and a proposed theme park.

Within this role you will be given responsibility to plan and deliver your own agreed work programme, whilst working with and supporting your team colleagues.

You will be expected to manage a varied caseload covering all aspects of environmental protection. It is therefore essential that you are a good communicator and have a thorough understanding of statutory nuisance legislation, investigation processes and have experience responding to planning consultations.

You will also need to be obsessive about customer service and utilise a flexible approach in order to achieve results.

We would also welcome applicants with knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas; private water supplies, air quality monitoring, acoustics or permitted processes.

For an informal discussion please contact Nick Chapman, Assistant Environmental Health Manager Environmental Protection on 01322 343160.

This is advertised as a full time permanent post. Your main place of work will be the office in Dartford, with additional hot desk facilities at our Sevenoaks offices. Your employment contract will be with Sevenoaks District Council. Please note harmonisation of terms and conditions with Dartford Borough Council colleagues may occur within the next two years.

A full driving licence and access to your own car is required for this post.

    Previous applicants need not apply.

Interview Date - week commencing 16th October 2017
