  1. Sevenoaks District Council is seeking to recruit an experienced Amenities Officer to oversee the inspection and maintenance of the natural environment within the District.

    The post is based at Dunbrik Depot in Sundridge and is the lead for the grounds maintenance of Housing estate lands, Bradbourne Lakes and other Parks and Countryside assets, including amenity development projects. You will be responsible for tree inspections; the preparation of woodland management plans and compliance; the inspection, maintenance and repair of Council owned play areas and equipment.

    You will have broad knowledge of Parks, Countryside and Commons maintenance responsibilities as well as an understanding of Health and Safety legislation, risk assessment, safe working practices and record keeping relating to grounds maintenance, arboriculture, horticulture and lake maintenance operations.

    You will need good IT skills, be well organised, a good communicator and be customer focused.

    You will hold a full and clean driving licence and have a flexible approach to working.
